Combating Climate Change
Through our programs, we aim at combating climate change by sensitizing members of the public on the need to conserve the environment.
Our Approach
We strive to meet our objectives through direct and indirect approaches. Using the direct approach we work directly with the community and facililitate activities such as tree planting. Using the indirect approach we sensitize communities on matters of climate change and propose ways in which the communities can take part in conmbating climate change.
Sensitization
We Raise awareness and educate the public about climate change and its impacts on the environment and society, and promote sustainable practices that can help mitigate these impacts. This could involve organizing events, campaigns, and educational programs for schools, businesses, and community groups.
Sustainable Farming
Promoting sustainable agriculture practices could help to mitigate climate change while improving food security and reducing poverty by providing training and support to small-scale farmers on the use of organic farming methods, crop diversification, and water conservation techniques.
Renewable Energy
We focus on promoting the adoption of renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydropower to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We work with communities and businesses to set up renewable energy projects and provide technical and financial support to make them sustainable
Waste Management
Addressing the challenges of waste management in Kenya through encouraging the adoption of the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) approach to waste management and promote the use of eco-friendly products and packaging. We also work with the government and other stakeholders to develop policies and regulations that promote sustainable waste management practices.
